Hi everyone, and welcome to my blog.  I’m John Gormly and this is my personal blog where I’ll blog more about personal stuff rather than technology stuff. My wife, Cynthia and I are Boy Scouts of America volunteers where we currently serve in various capacities in a cub scout pack, boy scout troop, and venturing crew. I grew up in Scouting, spent four year in the U.S. Army, and have had a passion for the outdoor life (camping, fishing, hiking) for many years.

I have a wonderful wife Cynthia, and five children. After the birth of our three boys, we decided we wanted more children and our recent life adventures have taken us to international adoption. We have two wonderful children adopted from China. You may see a post or two about that too!

I’ve also been involved in Information Technology for close to 2o years. I’m a Mobile/Wireless and Compliance lead for a big four accounting Firm.  Gadgets, particularly PDA’s, have become a passion of mine and you’ll find things related to that here, although you may want to check my other blog on myITForum for that.
